With next week being the Fourth of July Mount Pleasant law enforcement is reminding residents to be safe while using fireworks. Mount Pleasant city ordinance says that a person may only use consumer fireworks on private property the day before, the day of and the day after the 4th. Also fireworks cannot be used between the hours of 1 am and 8 am and may not be used within city limits any other days of the year.
