Donald Trump’s budget proposal could lead to deep cuts for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. 1.5 million jobs are provided by the Initiative, including a significant number of positions at Central Michigan University. Roughly 80 graduate students and technicians, 24 faculty members, and two post-doc positions are in jeopardy for CMU if proposed cuts are passed. CMU is one of 12 universities partnered.
