A 9 million dollar grant given to the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe to help school aged students with mental health issues will be shared throughout mid Michigan. The tribe is partnering with Mt. Pleasant Public Schools, Shepherd Public Schools and the Saginaw Chippewa Academy to incorporate “trauma-informed” training and equipment.
