A northern Michigan elementary school teacher has been charged with fourth-degree child abuse. Troopers from the Gaylord post were called to investigate alleged abuse involving 44 year old teacher, Jennifer Sumbera; who taught at Wolverine Elementary school, and a student on April the 9th. Sumbera turned herself in on May 1st, following a warrant that was issued for the teacher.
