The Michigan House of Reps has approved legislation that would reduce fines levied against family farms that fail to properly report a workplace death of an immediate family member, within the currently required 8-hour window. State Rep. Jerry Neyer, of Shepherd, introduced the bill that passed last Thursday with bipartisan support.
