A 17-year old student at Oasis High School in Mt. Pleasant is in custody & cooperating with investigators after they found a gun in his backpack, yesterday morning. A school administrator contacted officers around 8:18am telling them of the potential gun. When police arrived they found the gun & placed the student in handcuffs. Students & staff were safe during the whole ordeal.
