Britney Spears fans hoping she’d one day reschedule her canceled Las Vegas residency may not want to hold their breath. Not only isn’t it likely to happen, but the singer’s manager, Larry Rudolph, doesn’t think she’ll ever perform again.
Rudolph tells TMZ, from what’s being told about Britney’s current situation, “it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”
Britney had been in rehearsals for the “Domination” show when dad Jamie got sick. Larry describes the situation as “the perfect storm,” adding – “We had to pull her show because her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad’s illness.”
- Larry insists nobody forces Britney to work, and the decision is always up to her whether she wants to perform or not. “Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day. She was excited,” he shares. “She hasn’t called me in months. Crickets. She clearly doesn’t want to perform now.” But it’s not like he’s complaining. “I don’t want her to work again ’till she’s ready, physically, mentally and passionately,” he adds. “If that time never comes again it will never come again.”
