The ESSENCE Festival has announced that Former First Lady Michelle Obama will be the headliner for the annual festival this summer.

The former FLOTUS will lead the bill for the 25th Anniversary ESSENCE Festival of Culture in New Orleans July 4th – 7th. She’ll discuss her record-setting memoir, finding a new focus and her plans for the future…and it’ll spill during a sit-down interview for the magazine on July 6th.

Loni Love will host this year’s event, making her the first female ever to do so – and there’s a cavalcade of musical artist set to take the stage as well. They include Mary J. Blige, Nas, Missy Elliott, H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, MC Lyte, Pharrell Williams, Sheila E., Teyana Taylor and Timbaland.
