Michigan’s animal shelters in the state have reached “No-Kill” status. All 174 animal shelters in the state are now considered ‘no-kill’ shelters, which has taken quite awhile to achieve. To achieve no-kill status, each shelter must adopt out or transfer 90-percent of their animals.
