Plans have been put on hold, for the time being, to open an indoor farmers market in Alma. The city paid $150,000 for a 1.8 acre property with five buildings on-site. Bolle Contracting in Clare submitted a bid for about $110,000 to demolish the buildings on the site, but a new proposal to rehabilitate the buildings for the farmers market has the city reconsidering the plan, but not wanting to take the bid away from the Bolle.
