Tori Thompson, A middle schooler, from Alma, is the first female wrestler from the city to win a national championship. Last month, Tori advanced to the nationals, where she competed & successful won the top prize in the girls’ “age 12 & younger” heavyweight division. Tori says wrestling has given her self-confidence off the mat, after following years of being bullied in school.
