The Mt Pleasant Fire Chief Rick Beltinck gave city commissioners an overview of their activity for 2019 this week. His department responded to 584 calls in Mt. Pleasant, 355 in Union Township and eight mutual aids. He said that included 81 fires – 21 structures, 16 vehicles, 12 brush, six garbage containers and 24 others.
