Legendary actress and singer Doris Day has passed away at 97. She is survived by her grandson, Ryan.

A timeless Hollywood star, Day won Oscars for her role in 1959’s “Pillow Talk” as well as her big hit song, “Que Sera Sera.” Beyond the big screen, Day was an avid animal rights activist. In 1978, she founded the Doris Day Pet Foundation, which then became the Doris Day Animal Foundation.

The sad news of her passing has been confirmed on their website. According to the foundation, the actress passed away yesterday after a bad case of pneumonia. She was surrounded by close friends at her Carmel Valley home.
