Back in October, “Page Six” reported that Ben Affleck was out “looking for love” on the Raya dating app. For those unfamiliar, Raya is geared toward the affluent – and specifically, celebrity set. And no, you can’t just join Raya, either…you’ve got to apply. And if you say you’re a celeb – you’ve got to prove it. While it’s hilarious that a famous dude needs to troll an app for dates, apparently, it’s not true. At least, not in this case.
According to sources, the profile of the presumed Affleck-imposter has been frequently updated and tweaked with pictures, a nifty bio, and even has a song in the background that only someone trying to cope with a broken heart, Bob Marley’s “Guava Jelly.” But the man himself has denied everything in an interview with “Good Morning America.”
“I am not on any websites. I have no songs,” he says. “I am not on Tinder, Grindr, Brinder, Bumble, Humble. I am not on any of them. I have no judgment against people who are. Great…but not me.” So…assuming Affleck is telling the truth…and why wouldn’t he be…someone out there’s making a concerted effort to nab some celebrity groupie tail by pretending he’s Affleck. The fact that the profile’s still active means it must not be working for the imposter and he’s still trying…or…that it’s working like gangbusters, and no one’s complaining.
