Trash on Leelanau County beaches has been more than frustrating for locals this summer.
One man is trying to help by creating a decal for your car.
He’s selling the decals that say “Leelanau — Keep It Clean”
And the money is donated to Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes, which is a volunteer group.
It started when locals noticed trash piling up at their beaches.
They have all stepped up to help clean the beaches this summer but this is one more way to bring more awareness to the problem.
“The purpose is just to sort of create some awareness to the issue of the garbage around and when people see them it maybe helps encourage them to pick up after themselves a little bit more,” said Adam Truckey.
