One thing’s for sure, Crystal Hefner thinks the world of her late husband, Hugh Hefner. The Playboy Bunny said “I do” to Hugh, whose 60-years her senior, back in 2012 and is finally breaking her silence following his death last week.
Crystal says she hasn’t been able to “write most people back” because she’s “heartbroken” and “still in disbelief.”
“He was an American hero. A pioneer. A kind and humble soul who opened up his life and home to the world,” she adds. “I felt how much he loved me. I loved him so much. He gave me life. He gave me direction. He taught me kindness. I will feel eternally grateful to have been by his side, holding his hand, and telling him how much I love him.”
Crystal still has more to say. “He changed my life, he saved my life. He made me feel loved every single day. He was a beacon to the world, a force unlike anything else. There never has and never will be another Hugh M. Hefner.”

Authorities are looking for the person who drew a blue crown on Hef’s Walk of Fame star. A spokesperson for the tourist destination believes there was no “malintent” in the graffiti, but if the artist is found out, they’ll have to pay restitution to have the star cleaned up and polished again.
