A toddler escaped serious injury after being hit by a backing up pickup truck Monday in Clare County. The pickup pulled out of a driveway on the 6000 block of East Surrey Road when the 2-year-old boy entered the truck’s blind spot and was hit. The toddler was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
