A 44-year-old Harrison man died Saturday afternoon after hitting a deer with a motorcycle in Grant Township. John Maurkiewicz III drove his motorcycle on South Clare Avenue north of Surrey Road shortly after 4:00PM when the accident happened. Paramedics took him to a Clare hospital for treatment, and he was later transferred to a Midland hospital where he died from his injuries.
