A 27-year-old Shepherd man sent police on a two-county chase early Sunday morning. Gratiot County Sheriff’s deputies lost sight of the car near County Line and Loomis Roads around 2:15AM, then Isabella County deputies took over the search. Eventually, deputies spotted the vehicle and the driver fled. After a short pursuit down Loomis to Blanchard, then to Wise, the suspect lost control, rolled his car and fled. The driver was taken to the hospital, then to jail. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
