Alma residents who cause and/or permit a fire to occur might soon be charged for fire service by the city. A draft of the ordinance was sent to the city commissioners and mayor for approval. The charges would apply for fire calls within the city limits. At this time, approval of the ordinance hasn’t been scheduled for any upcoming city commission meetings.
