The Central Michigan Chippewas hit their way into the Mid-American Conference tournament semifinals, defeating rival Western Michigan 16-5 on Thursday. In total, CMU collected 12 hits, while drawing a season-high 14 walks. The Chippewas get Friday off before facing either Western Michigan again, who faces elimination on Friday, or Eastern Michigan on Saturday morning.
