Grout Township supervisor in Gladwin County, Martin Shearer, didn’t expect it when an 83-year-old walked up to the board table Tuesday night and sucker punched him during a township meeting. Gerald George of Gladwin was arraigned in 80th district court in Gladwin on Wednesday. Leading up to the punch, Shearer said George was ranting about a pavilion the board built a year ago.
