A film with a controversial actor in it is coming to theaters anyway.
In the midst of sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey, his “Billionaire Boys Club” movie will still be hitting theater. The movie will be out in August at select theaters. To be clear, Vertical Entertainment says Spacey only has a supporting role, and the studio hopes the accusations against him do not tarnish the film’s release.
Judd Nelson, who was in the 1987 version of the film is also in this one, along with Emma Roberts, Jeremy Irvine, Cary Elwes, Suki Waterhouse, and Billie Lourd.
Actor Anthony Rapp alleged last year that Space made unwanted advances towards him when he was a teenagers. Actors from “House of Cards” then came forward with accusations of sexual harassment, and he was cut from the show. Spacey was also recast in the 2017 film, “All the Money In the World.” The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is currently looking into the claims against him.
