Select parks in Michigan will be taking part in Fireworks-Free Fourth of July, a chance for veterans and pet owners to celebrate the holiday while getting away from community fireworks. The event is put on by the Department of Natural Resources and Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency and will run from July 2 to 6.
