Legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld is dead at the age of 85.
The German designer who lived in Paris died earlier today after missing a number of fashion shows while being ill in recent weeks.
Lagerfeld became a design assistant as a teenager and began his long career with Chanel in 1983. The icon is credited with adding glitz to the design house’s style. He was the creative director for Chanel and Fendi. Up until his death, Lagerfeld released collections for Fendi and his label.
Reaction to his death came from “student” Victoria Beckham, Donatella Versace and more on social media.
