- Kate Hudson was honored with the Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Fashion Los Angeles Awards
- She’s the co-founder of Fabletics
- She’s calling it one of the most rewarding things she’s done
Kate Hudson was honored with the Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year award at The Daily Front Row’s fifth-annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Sunday. At the event, she talked about her dedication to inspiring women to get healthy with “cute clothes” – and out of being an actress, a philanthropist and more, Hudson is calling her business “one of the most rewarding things” she’s ever done.
During her acceptance speech, she said the most inspiring thing about starting the business has been relating with customers about their wellness journeys. “I actually relate to people with something that matters to me,” she explained. “Which is when someone comes up to me and says, ‘My husband left me after 20 years and I gained 55 pounds, I saw Fabletics online and I was like I’m going to get my life together.’”
And on the red carpet, she talked about her own journey since starting the business. “It’s funny, because for the last five years of my life [being an entrepreneur] is what I’ve spent most of my time doing other than raising my kids, so it feels great,” she said. “When I started, the success was amazing, like a dream for a startup – and it just keeps growing.”
