- Julia Roberts has weighed in on the college admissions scandal.
- She feels that it speaks to the parents’ lack of faith in their children.
- She and her husband, Danny Moder, are raising their kids to run their own race.
It’s another day, which means that another celebrity is talking about the college admissions scandal. This time, the commenter is Julia Roberts.
The Oscar winner called the situation sad and said she felt empathy with the children involved. The way she sees it, the actions of the parents say, “I don’t have enough faith in you.”
When it comes to how the Oscar winner and her husband, Danny Moder, raise their three kids – 14-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel and 11-year-old Henry – she explained that while they have the means to make things easy for them, “they have to run their own race.” That’s one of the reasons they teach them basic life skills.
- ONE MORE THING! Harlow Brooks went to high school with Lori Loughlin’s daughters, and was kind of suspicious when she heard that both Isabella and Olivia Jade had gotten in to the University of Southern California. In a YouTube video, the high school senior said, “I remember hearing that Olivia had also gotten into USC and I was like, ‘Whoa, that’s kind of crazy because USC is very extremely hard to get into.’ So not only one sister — both of them.” Like Olivia, Harlow is a YouTube sensation, and she wondered how her former classmate was able to juggle school and her online career. “How does she travel for YouTube? How does she have time to make YouTube videos? An arrangement with the school or something? It just kind of didn’t make sense to me.”
