John Singleton has suffered a stroke. According to his family, the famed director checked himself in to the hospital when he experienced weakness in his leg after a flight from Costa Rica.
Apparently the 51-year-old suffered the stroke on Wednesday while at the hospital. While it’s being described as mild, he’s in the ICU and under great medical care. His family added, “We ask that privacy be given to him and our family at this time and appreciate all of the prayers that have been pouring in from his fans, friends and colleagues.”
Snoop Dogg, Nia Long, Guillermo del Toro, and others and others turned out on social media to offer prayers and good wishes for Singleton.
