- TMZ reported that Larry King went into cardiac arrest on his way to get a procedure done
- The report isn’t completely accurate
- A rep for King has confirmed he’s recovering from health issues, but not cardiac arrest
If you caught word that Larry King suffered cardiac arrest last week, pay no mind. A rep for the talk show host has cleared things up – while King is on the mend after dealing with some health issues, he didn’t actually die.
TMZ originally reported that King went into cardiac arrest on his way to the hospital to get an angiogram. We now know that he didn’t have a heart attack, but he did experience angina (that’s chest pain that FEELS like a heart attack) before his scheduled angioplasty on Thursday. Now, he’s recovering in the hospital and expected to “make a full recovery.”
“Larry is in good spirits and thanks everyone for their concern,” King’s rep writes in a statement. “He’s expected to be back to work on his shows, ‘Larry King Now’ and ‘PoliticKING with Larry King’ soon.”
