Former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw has apologized after letting a racist remark slip about actor and comedian Ken Jeong. So far, Jeong hasn’t commented, but Bradshaw says they hashed it out privately.
What happened was, Bradshaw was talking about his stint on “The Masked Singer” during Fox Upfront. Not only did he mistakenly refer to Robin Thicke as his father, Alan Thicke, he also mixed up Ken Jeong’s heritage. Bradshaw claimed he was eliminated by “the little short guy from Japan” – Jeong is of Korean descent.
“I made an insensitive remark about Ken, who I’ve known for some time,” he says in a statement. “I’ve spoken to him about the importance of cultural respect and apologized for my offensive comments. I would like to also apologize to the Asian American community for my insensitivity.”
