Formula Returned From WIC Program Now To Be Destroyed

Any formula returned to the state using the WIC program will have to be destroyed. Until February, any returned formula was re-issued or donated to food pantries. But now, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services requires local agencies to destroy  the returned formula. The agency says they are doing this to protect the public’s health.
