We previously reported that Brad Pitt’s Hurricane Katrina charity Make It Right Foundation was sued for allegedly selling residents of New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward faulty homes. Now, the case is moving forward.
The charity’s mission was to build energy-efficient, affordable homes in the Lower Ninth Ward, which was hit hardest by Katrina. As of 2016, almost $30-million was reportedly spent on building over 100 homes… some of which the plaintiffs claim were “defectively and improperly constructed.”
According to court docs obtained by Radar Online, a federal judge has ruled in the plaintiff’s favor – meaning the case will head to Louisiana court.
