A routine river check in Mount Pleasant lead to the discovery of five leaky pipes. The city never knew they existed and after initial tests found increased levels of ammonia, boron, PFOS and selenium leaking from them into the Chippewa River. Once a source is found, the site can be cleaned up and officially resolved.
