The stars came out for San Diego Comic Con this year, and that includes Natalie Portman. After playing Jane in the first two “Thor” movies, the actress is set to take the hammer into her own hands as the female Thor in the upcoming “Thor: Love and Thunder” movie hitting theaters in 2021.
But that’s far from the only surprise in store for fans when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here’s what else was announced:
Almost the entire cast of “The Eternals” showed up for the convention. As we reported separately, that included none other than Angelina Jolie, who’s officially joining the MCU. The movie is due for release on November 6th, 2020.
As we also separately reported, it was revealed that Mahershala Ali will star in the upcoming “Blade” reboot.
“Black Widow” starring Scarlett Johansson premieres on May 1st, 2020. It’s also “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour’s next gig.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” hits theaters on February 12th, 2021, and stars newcomer Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Chinese actor Tony Leung.
Marvel’s “first horror movie” is coming out in 2021, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
Unfortunately, fans will have to hang on a little longer for info on some highly anticipated releases. Not much was given away about the rumored “Black Panther 2,” “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” “Fantastic Four” and “Mutants”… although, some of them were at least confirmed by Marvel Studios prez Kevin Feige.
