A $2.8 million grant awarded to Saginaw Valley State University will help train 100 nurses from underserved rural areas in the fight against the opioid crisis. The four-year grant will result in SVSU enrolling 25 nurse practitioners each year as students in the university’s psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner post-graduate certificate program.
