As we previously reported, Meghan Markle is the first-ever co-editor of British Vogue’s September issue hitting newsstands on August 2nd. Just like she’s made waves within the Royal family ever since marrying Prince Harry, Meghan highlights 15 “brilliant female changemakers” on the cover of her “Forces For Change” issue.
Meghan says that her aim is to “shine a world filled with seemingly daily darkness” in the editor’s letter, tackling feminism and calling for racial inclusivity and justice – notably political for a member of the Royal family. More than have the women on the cover are women of color, including actress Laverne Cox, the first-ever trans person to be featured on the cover of British Vogue.
For the issue, Meghan sat down for an interview with former First Lady Michelle Obama. They talk about motherhood, feminism, and the Obama Foundation program the Girls Opportunity Alliance.
