It took decades, but Batman’s sidekick Robin is getting recognized.
Original Batman sidekick Burt Ward is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ward played Robin in the 1960s TV series “Batman,” with Adam West as the Caped Crusader. The producer of the Walk of Fame says Ward’s star will be unveiled in a ceremony today next to the stars of Adam West and Batman creator Bob Kane.
The original 1966 Batmobile will also be at the ceremony. Ward, 74, told “Fox News” that from the moment he met West at a screen test for the show, they became fast friends — and that friendship would last for more than 50 years.
