2020 Oscar nominations are out. This year, it’s all about Todd Phillips’ “Joker,” which leads the pack with 11 nods, including Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix. In fact, the supervillian movie is on track to match the records of “Titanic,” “The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King,” and “Ben-Hur” by winning 11 total awards.
As expected, frontrunners also include Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman,” Sam Mendes’ World War I epic “1917,” and Quentin Tarantino’s star-studded “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” are right behind “Joker” with 10 nods each. “Parasite” became the first-ever South Korean film to be nominated for Best Picture, getting six nods along with “Jojo Rabbit,” “Little Women,” and “Marriage Story.”
