We’re learning more about Kobe Bryant and his fascination with helicopters. Apparently he started using them to combat the scourge that is Los Angeles traffic. In 2018, he told Alex Rodriguez, “I had to figure out a way where I could still train and focus on the craft but still not compromise family time.” His chopper could get him where he needed to be in 15 minutes.
But according to a source, NBA legend had a deal with Vanessa that they would never fly on a helicopter together. The wisdom in that decision meant that she wasn’t involved in Sunday’s crash that claimed the lives of Kobe and their daughter, Gianna, and seven others.
Speaking of Gianna, Kobe had big plans for “Gigi.” He’d filed a trademark for “Mambacita,” the 13-year-old’s nickname on December 30th. According to the paperwork, he intended to use the future baller’s moniker on athletic apparel, including shirts, shorts, hats, jerseys, sweatpants, and more.
Meanwhile, the investigation into what caused Kobe’s aircraft to go down is ongoing. At this point, the experts believe that the crash was a “weather-caused accident.”
