Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been locked in a heated legal battle over domestic violence allegations, but up until now it’s been pretty “he said, she said.” In a newly-released, explosive audio recording from 2015 obtained by “Daily Mail,” Heard admits to getting physical with her ex-husband.
It’s being reported that the clip was recorded consensually from Heard’s phone during a two-hour “therapy session.” The former couple can be heard talking through their marital issues, getting into details about some of their explosive arguments. In the recording, Depp says he can’t take anymore “physical abuse on each other, bashing Heard’s “manic and angry” behavior, and for “throwing pots and pans” and “punching” him in the jaw.
While Heard shoots down the claim that she “punched” Depp, she does admit to “hitting” him – and she says she “can’t promise” she won’t do it again. She also says that Depp throws things, too, which he replies by saying he only did because she was “throwing cans” at him “in Australia” – possibly referring to the same incident that resulted in the actor’s severed finger.
ONE MORE THING! After the explosive clips where Heard admits to hitting Depp were released, the hashtag #JusticeForJohnnyDepp started trending on Twitter. While both parties admit to getting physical with each other, fans are calling BS on Heard’s original “Washington Post” op-ed about domestic violence that launched the whole $50-million defamation suit between the couple.
