Getting a splash pad in Shepherd is going to take the whole village to support the venture. Planners hope to build the estimated $175,000 project in Veterans Memorial Park. They have already received $1,000 from Big Rock Amusements, the carnival company that is part of April’s Maple Syrup Festival. The rest will be up to the village. They hope to open it in July of 2021.
