Four Kroger employees and one Meijer employee have died from COVID-19. All employees were from stores near the Detroit area. Both chain stores have said they are taking all necessary procedures in each of their facilities so this won’t happen again. They also noted they are adhering to all state safety guidelines, including the four persons per 1000 square-foot ordinance that Gov. Whitmer has put into place.
