Heather Locklear is celebrating one year of sobriety. After a rocky year including multiple trips to rehab, the actress has shared an inspirational Maya Angelou quote on her Instagram about staying positive and moving forward.
“I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow,” the quote reads. “I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn. I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
The post comes six months after Locklear completed her latest stint in rehab. At the time, she was ordered to stay on probation and in therapy through out-patient programs as part of her plea agreement.
