Jennifer Melero, a 1986 Alma High School graduate and now a kindergarten teacher at Holly Academy in Holly, was recently named the 2020 Michigan Charter School Teacher of the Year. It’s the third time in the past four years that she has been a finalist for the award. She said she was shocked to actually win it.
