Mt. Pleasant’s vice mayor said she removed a controversial Facebook post after saying the meaning of it was taken out of context. Amy Perschbacher posted an image of the Thin Blue Line flag, with the blue line pulled back to reveal a black swastika surrounded by a white circle on a red background. She said she was referring to the attempted coup with people carrying flags of blue line, confederate, and Nazi symbols, who attacked the nation’s capital and law enforcement. She said she was at no time disrespecting law enforcement or military.
