Midland Public Schools, Beaverton Rural Schools and other area districts were among those in the state that were awarded 10 Cents a Meal Grants. The Michigan Department of Education selected 138 grantees across the state for the grant. 10 Cents A Meal is a state-funded program providing schools with matching incentive funding up to 10 cents per meal to purchase and serve Michigan-grown fruits, vegetables, and legumes.
