A Shepherd woman accused in the November stabbing death of a Mt. Pleasant woman will not face the death penalty. Federal Prosecutors filed a “notice to not seek the death penalty” against 20 year old Kaden Elizabeth Gilbert. She is accused in a double-stabbing that killed 21-year-old Nangonhs Massey. Gilbert is held in federal custody but has not been officially indicted on the charges.
