Isabella County employees will receive an extra holiday this year, after the state’s highest court ordered courthouses closed on June 20th to celebrate the day that African Americans were emancipated. The Isabella County Commission voted on Tuesday to extend the holiday from court employees to most county employees, minus the sheriff’s dept & jail, and the Materials Recovery Facility.
