New bills aimed toward protecting human trafficking survivors, passed Thursday in the Michigan Senate, unanimously. It includes Senate Bills 515, 516 & 517, that now amend the state’s code of Criminal Procedure so survivors would no longer have to appear in court to provide a statement against their alleged abuser.
