The Humane Society of Midland County’s Board of Directors released a statement on Saturday in response to recently leaked texts sent by past employees, including former shelter director, Beth Wellman. The screenshots from online last week show Wellman & other employees using coarse language in texts when talking about clients. One of them even used a slur for a person with disabilities. Board members continue to investigate.
